Our roots in the rug industry go back to 2008, when our family began working closely with international buyers, retailers, and interior professionals across global markets. Over the years, this experience shaped our deep understanding of craftsmanship, materials, textures, and the evolving needs of modern interiors. Today, Capitola Rugs carries that legacy forward with a fresh design-driven approach focused on handmade quality, thoughtful detailing, and timeless aesthetics.

What makes us truly unique is our fully integrated in-house production ecosystem. We are a close-knit team of 8 passionate professionals working alongside more than 50 skilled weavers and artisans — all within our own campus in India. From yarn sourcing and dyeing to weaving, finishing, washing, and quality control, every stage of production is handled under one roof. This allows us to maintain exceptional consistency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail in every rug we create.

Our artisans specialize in hand-tufted, hand-loomed, and handcrafted rugs using techniques refined through generations of weaving tradition. Each piece is carefully developed using premium materials, rich textures, and carefully balanced colour palettes designed for modern homes, boutique interiors, hospitality spaces, and design-led environments. Like many premium global rug houses, we believe in combining artisanal heritage with contemporary luxury and slow craftsmanship.
